Come to the Cornwall Community Museum in the Wood House on the St. Lawrence River and take a trip back through history.  Tour this 1840's farm house, teeming with information and artifacts, and enter past eras:  the days of the Loyalists in the pre-confederation parlour; the 1910's in the kitchen, the 1940's in the bedroom, and the 1950's in the dining room.  Visit the temporary exhibit room, then ride the elevator, or make your way down 28 wooden steps, to the museum's comprehensive library and archives, containing over 100,000 documents and 10,000 photographs.  Whether investigating your family tree, inquiring into our area's history, or searching for an appropriate architectural feature to incorporate into your period home, the library and archives provide excellent resource material, much of which is unattainable elsewhere.
